I am doing Extra Life on October 15th, 2011 to raise money for the Oakland Children’s Hospital. It is a tremendous undertaking which will require that I game continuously for 24 hours, and while it is a daunting task, I truly believe that it is a goal that I can attain. I decided that the best way for me to reach this goal is by having people come along with me, or more clearly stated, playing with me. Below, I have listed the game schedule that I have set up for myself. With the exception of Infamous 2 and Little Big Planet 2, all games are on XBox 360. I am setting up a 24 hour Single Simulcast/Geeks Gone Raw NIPOE Gamenight. I will be online for each of the games listed below during the hours stated next to them. 8 am – 11 am: NBA 2k12: My Player for 2 hours, Online games for 1 hour
11 am – 12 pm: Call of Duty: Black Ops- Online Multiplayer for 1 hour
12 pm- 1pm: Perfect Dark: Online Multiplayer for 1 hour
1pm – 2pm: Saints Row 2 Story Mode
2 pm – 6 pm: Halo Reach: Story Mode for 2 hours, Online Multiplayer for 1 hour and Firefight for 1 hour
6 pm – 9 pm: Gears of War 3 – Story mode for 1 hour, Horde Mode for 2 hours
8 pm – 10 pm: Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit for 2 hours
10 pm – 11 pm: You Don’t Know Jack Online for 1 hour
11 pm – 1 am: Red Dead Redemption Story Mode for 2 hours
1 am – 3 am: Infamous 2: Story mode for 2 hours
3 am – 5 am: Deux Ex Revelations for 2 hours
5 am – 8 am: Gears of War 3 Horde mode for 3 hours.
I will also be doing 24 podcasts in 24 hours. Each podcast will be 45 minutes long, and unedited. Here is the discussion schedule:
